Creating a world-class makerspace does not happen overnight, but with the right team and IDIYA’s professional development training, your school’s makerspace will be ahead of the curve. We provide training to equip teachers with the tools they need to be successful in the classroom. We build our professional development training around the subjects and equipment found in your makerspace with modular components to meet your team’s goals, and with each course, your team receives documents and handouts that can be implemented in the classroom including safety and use, best practices, and student waivers.

IDIYA Labs’ education philosophy is based on design thinking principles, and we are excited to bring this hands-on approach to each professional development opportunity. Design thinking is a way to engage students in the learning process with hands-on applications of the lessons taught. Design thinking helps students learn the fundamentals of engineering and problem-solving by building an understanding of the science and math supporting each solution. Our professional development classes engage teachers in the same way, with hands-on activities and problem-solving challenges that are designed to both excite and engage the participants.
